Murray Beach became the surprise campsite of the trip before we pushed into Québec for St. Lawrence sunsets, Montmorency Falls, Old Montréal, fireworks, poutine, camper repairs, Mount Royal, and bagels.
Nova Scotia delivered lighthouse views, rainy coastal hikes, Halifax history, Mi’kmaw culture, coal mining stories, Cabot Trail cliffs, and one foggy Skyline Trail view worth waiting for.
Our Canadian Coastal Quest officially crossed the border into New Brunswick, where miles became kilometers, Fahrenheit became Celsius, and the Bay of Fundy welcomed us with the highest tides in the world. From Headquarters Campground, we explored Alma Beach, hiked deep into mossy Canadian forest, joined a meaningful salmon welcoming ceremony, celebrated Lincoln’s 10th birthday, and settled into the rhythm of life on the road.
Maine gave us lobster rolls, lighthouse views, rocky coast hikes, Acadia’s granite peaks, and one very happy beach dog before we crossed into Canada for the next leg of our family road trip.
